NGOs contribution in development of Bangladesh

It is true that a lot of Non Government Organizations involved in development and contributing to the development of the poor and hard core poor of the country. Most of the NGOs have legal entity and received registration Directorate of Social Welfare, Joint Stock Company and Firm, Directorate of Family Planning, Cooperative, Department of Women Affairs and NGO Affairs Bureau. All the NGOs working as a development partner of Government of the Republic of Bangladesh. All the NGOs have collaboration and coordination with the government and implement their respective activities.
The NGOs in Bangladesh contributing in all the development areas considering the needs and demands of the poor people. The NGOs are generally start working with their own financial resources and gradually increase the funding through raising fund form national and international donors as well as from community contribution. We must have to recognize the contribution of community in the development process.
The areas and issues of development are, socio-economic, cultural and environmental development. If we would like to mention the issues , it is require to say about the development of income and employment generation, community empowerment, capacity building, protecting the rights of the men, women and children including persons with disability and minority, reducing gender discriminations, violence against women and children, reducing tortures and repressions, providing health services , ensuring sanitation for all, ensuring the of safe drinking water, agricultural development and increasing production as it is a agro based country.
