All the Non Government Organizations (NGOs) in Bangladesh establish to bring positive change in the lives of poor and hard core people of the country. Just after establishment, the NGOs should develop it vision, mission statement, goal and objectives.
Vision of Non Government Organizations:
Vision of the organization is generally the dream of an organization. Here the non government organization clarify where they are, where they want to do or up to which extent the organization want reach and how the organization will get there. For example it may be like the following:
Establishing such a society which is ecologically balanced, socially just, healthy and democratic and where the poor are economically self reliant and enjoy an equitable and secured environment.
Mission Statement:
This the statement what the organizations want to do and how they will do it. Here the organization can say about the strategies of implementation.
Goal of the organization:
The goal of the organization is the situation what impact it will attain through the development objectives and activities. The goal may be the following type.
To improve the socio-economic, environmental and cultural status of the poor and h ared poor men, women and children including persons with disabilities and minorities through undertaking various need based sustainable development programs.
Objectives of the organization: On the basis of the possible area of involvement the organization generally determine the objectives of the respective organization. Possible objectives may be the following:
• To increase the economic status of the poor and ultra poor through ensuring their involvement in Income Generating Activities and creating employment opportunities.
• To empower the poor people including women and minority socially and economically
• To promote rights and justice for poor men, women, children as well as for the disabled and minorities.
• To support the activities and initiatives of the government as a development partner
• Ensure the participation of the disadvantaged, vulnerable people children in the development activities.
• To increase the educational status of the poor through adult and child literacy program.
• To conduct advocacy for the betterment of the poor people and most marginalized
• To improve the health perspective of the poor through undertaking diversified health related program initiatives such as MCH, FP, Environmental sanitation as well as water and sanitation and Hygiene practice.
• To increase the agro based production through using modern technology
• To assist people in disaster preparedness and management and.
• To protect the environment from any degradation and pollution.
All the organization should have some values considering the believes of personnel involved.
