Bangladesh is really in backward position in all respect like poverty situation, price hiking of all daily necessary goods, health facilities and education as well. The girl’s education is hindered in many ways. The scenario is worse in the rural areas of the country. The girls have not decision making authority and dignity in the family and society. They are just the member of the family but the households’ members do not hear them and respect them as a member of the society.
The parents and guardians are not aware enough to send the girls to school. The like keep women within the household and involve them in the domestic affairs. They think, there is no need to seed them to school as they will go to the others residence after marriage. So, no need to give them education as well as higher education. In this way they are discriminated, deprived and undermined.
They has restriction for mobility. They cannot go out of residence and remain confining in the family. Further, the society also does not like the girls movement. Again, if they move outside their residence, they become the victim eve teasing and violence. They do not get the justice from the existing society specially the poor women.
Now a day, the government and development organization’s authorities has been trying to ensure the education for girls but the drop rate is extremely higher than the boys as there exist the early marriage, violence and superstition. The parents and guardians do not want take it that the girls are like the boys and can contribute like the boys. The Government has plan to attain the millennium development goal and education for all but it will never be achieved keeping the children out of education. So, it is necessary the make the girls education compulsory and compel the parents and guardians.
