Bangladesh known as a Democratic Country. However, the proper democratic culture not yet established in our country. We know that Voters and election is the important part of any democratic system. The voters are the key players in the election process. But most of the voters are illiterate and are not well aware about the role they should play in the election to choose honest and competent candidates as their representatives. They do not understand the importance of their voting rights. Sometimes, they are influenced, purchased by unscrupulous people and misuses their rights. So, to make them properly aware about their role, they need to be oriented. Their level of awareness should be developed in such way so that they can elect honest and competent person as their representative to ensure good governance in the country. The electorates in the rural areas are lack the technical knowledge of voting system, so to make them capable to know the technicalities of voting system they need to be aware about heir voting rights properly.
Since independence many of the non government organization has been providing supports to the distressed, disadvantaged, deprived and vulnerable poor women, men, children including disable and indigenous people for contributing to the improvement of their livelihood status through diversified community driven sustainable program initiatives by increase their power and dignity.
