Problem statement and rationale:Under the Rangpur District of Rangpur Division there are still some of the people of the areas did not get the access to the electrification as the areas are situated to extreme remote area on the river basin and char.The area is so remote that the government electrification services can not be reached there and as a result the people of the area are deprived from the electrification services. They are not getting the services available.Most of the people the river basin and char areas are extremely vulnerable , poor and hard core poor and they have no ability to establish the electrification facilities. Along with the perception we have, the make the understanding more explicit and clear on the problems context, we have conducted 10 nos. Focus Group Discussion with people living in river basin and char area and revealed the following problems and constraints:
Most of the people are extremely poor due to frequent attract by the flood and losthere assets, livestock, households and income generating materials.
·Poverty situation gradually deteriorating and as a result they able ability to purchase solar electrification point through expending money.
·The lack idea about the solar electrification
·No electricity in the areas
·They informed that if the system installed in the area it will really help them and improve their livelihood.
